The Pine City Ambassador Junior Leadership Program is designed to help students prepare for a successful future by representing their school and communities with honor and pride. Our goal is to enable students to explore their community, broaden talents, interact with peers, and discover what makes them a great leader. Most importantly students will learn how they can make a difference in the world! After successful completion of the program, each participant receives a scholarship to the college or university of their choice!

Welcoming our new Pine City Ambassadors, Class of 2018!

Interested in becoming a Pine City Ambassador?

High School Juniors who are interested in becoming a Pine City Ambassador should look for applications to be delivered to their school in February of each school year.  The application must be filled in completely, and all items listed in the requirements must be completed and turned in on time.  Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.  Students must turn their applications in themselves, applications turned in by a third party will not be accepted.  Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Students are then scheduled for an interview, the students must come dressed as they would for a job interview, they need to be on time and prepared.  The interview (lasting about 10 minutes) is scored by individuals who are not personally connected with the students or their families.

The students who are selected to participate in the program are judged on many different aspects including their GPA, extracurricular activities (and leadership roles played in those), essay, references, and the interview.

The program includes at least one monthly get together.  These meetings can include events, leadership programs, field trips, volunteer work, and attending community forums.

The students who complete the program are awarded a scholarship from the City of Jackson.
