For over 60 years our Chamber has served as the primary business advocate in our area. The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce serves as an avenue by which to promote your business and network with other local businessmen and women. NETWORKING

  • State of the City Address
    Held annually. The Mayor of Jackson uses this platform to highlight the city’s progress in economic development and present a report to the citizens of Jackson regarding the challenges from the past year and his outlook for the year ahead.
  • Legislative Briefing
    An annual invitation only event provides government representatives an opportunity to update Chamber members on those critical business issues facing our community.
  • Job Fair
    Company representatives have interactive exhibits to educate individuals about the careers available and the skill sets needed to pursue those careers.
  • Back to School Breakfast
    Objective is to show gratitude to our local educators and staff for their dedication in ensuring that the children in our community are well prepared for their future.
  • Annual Meeting
    Held annually. The Chamber's Annual Meeting is designated as the biggest corporate event of the year. It is a dinner that features the previous year’s accomplishments. The board of directors are elected and the chairman of the board is installed.
  • Special Events
    • Fall Festival
      Festivities include Market in the Street, Food, Lumberjack Competition, Antique Auto Show, Motorcycle Show, Entertainment, Kid’s Games and a Chili Cook-Off.
    • Christmas Parade
      Attendees enjoy the sight of floats from local small businesses, industries and organizations. Bands from the area compete and entertain the crowd.

MARKETING

  • Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings, Open Houses, Grand Openings
    Assistance with these events will be provided to all Chamber members. The event will be included on the Chambers website and the picture will be included in the e-newsletter.
  • E-newsletter, E-postcard
    These publications feature upcoming events and important issues affecting businesses.
  • Membership Decal
    Members receive free membership decals to display in their businesses for as long as they are active Chamber members. By prominently displaying their decals, businesses promote their community support, involvement and good will.
  • Relocation Envelope Advertisement
    Mailed monthly to individuals interested in visiting or moving to Jackson and to those building their career in our community. A Chamber member can place their company ad on the outside back of the envelope used to mail the information. 500 envelopes are printed with exclusive company ad.
  • Website Page Banner Ad
    The Chamber’s website is an essential community resource for information featuring our online membership directory, calendar of events and information about the community. Advertising is available. Free business listings and website links are available to Chamber members.
  • Board of Directors Lunch
    Held monthly. This lunch serves as the meeting of the Chamber board members, which includes some of the top business leaders in the Jackson area. This is an excellent opportunity for a sponsor to gain exposure to key corporate leaders in the community.
  • Referrals
    We get thousands of inquiries for business/professional information each year. We only provide information on Chamber members.
  • Brochure Display and Distribution
    Chamber members can display brochures, flyers and business cards in the Chamber’s foyer at no cost. The display provides a great marketing opportunity by offering exposure to the general public and fellow Chamber members.

    It’s Good Business to do Business with Jackson Chamber Members! Through the MTM Discount Program, Chamber members and their employees will discover savings on products and services from other Chamber member businesses.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Discounted Health Insurance
    Through our partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama (CCAA), Chamber members can receive discounts on small business health care with Chamber Options.
  • Discounted Business Insurance
    Through our partnership with Harrison & Harrison Insurance & Realty, Chamber members can receive discounts on small business insurance.
  • Business Consulting Services
    Through our partnership with the University of West Alabama’s (UWA) Small Business Development Center (SBDC), business related workshops are offered periodically throughout the year. The representatives also provide no-cost business counseling.
  • U.S. Chamber of Commerce
    Small businesses are eligible for free membership in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Membership gives you access to the U.S. Chamber online resource library, weekly e-newsletter, and discounts on various products and services to help your business.
  • Business Council of Alabama
    Chamber members have exclusive access to governmental affairs information and events including conference calls held every fifth legislative day.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • Pine City Ambassadors
    The participants meet monthly. The objective of the junior leadership program is to build awareness of current challenges and opportunities that exist in our community and to have a positive impact on our future workforce.
